Vendui Elf Clanners

Oona just wish to say dat Oona misses da time when Elf Clan was in SL.

Is well aware why it all moved to Inworldz,so isnae gonna debate dat again .. Already done dat plenties times

wif Eldar Wayfinder and when him maked a decision it so very decided ..

Still,Oona sees dere many members of Elf Clan groups in SL.Dinnae ken if all moved to Inworldz tho.

Thinks mebbe most of da active ones did.

None of da groups seems to be very active and Oona isnae sendin any messages dere. But,dere has been a few messages in Elf Clan group :)

Oona very active in SL wif Oona's Tribe and friends dere,so dere isnae dis much time to go to Inworldz.

On occasion ,Oona meets Eren in SL and dat always makes Oona happie.

So,anyone wish to tell Oona wut goes on in ElvenSong sim? :)

Oona might go visit fer events dere,if Oona got time.

Oona hopes yew all doin good :)

The way to keep in touch with Elf Clan is to join the group on Inworldz and make sure receive group notices is set to "ON".  The reality is that Elf Clan as a group no longer supports Second Life in any form.  While we do on very rare occasion make a group announcement there, it's only when deemed as necessary.  Elf Clan is officially homed on Inworldz and while individual members (including myself) have presence on both grids, on SL Elf Clan is officially "shut down"... even though the group itself is still visible.  (That is primarily so people can read about where we are now.)

But,dere still Elf Clan members in SL and we dinnae ken when dere events in Elf Clan no matter wut grid it on.

And Oona IS in Elf Clan group in Inworldz too,but never get any notices about events. When Oona does log in to Inworldz, dere no one dere.So figure mebbe peoples is dere when dere is an event.

But,since Oona never ken when dere is any event,Oona dinnae wanna log on as dere tons goin on in SL all da time.

However,if Oona kenned dere be an event in Elf Clan,Oona would log on.

I'm speaking of the Elf Clan group on Inworldz.  That's where we post all group messages.

While the current home of Elf Clan is in InWorldz, I'm sorry to see that you've decided not to support those of us who still remain in SL and wish to communicate with our fellow Elf Clanners. This makes me very sad. :-(

I understand and empathize.  But on the other hand... what of those on SL who decided to stick with that grid and not support Elf Clan?  There's a bit of sadness there too.

Linden Lab cost our group well over US$50,000 in wasted funds, as well as the time, energy and dedication to create 8 sims.  Elf Clan was one of the premiere groups of SL... and that didn't phase LL one bit as they chewed the life out of large groups and put the screws to their customers.  When we left it wasn't just a move to a better grid (although it was).   We ceased all support of Second Life, completely.  If we could have removed the group entirely from SL without having to individually, manually delete 2000+ members, that would have been the decision.

I realize that left many members without an SL home group and I do regret that.  But our new home on Inworldz is much larger (50+ regions) and far more productive than anything we could have achieved on SL.  Elf Clan members can still communicate without using Elf Clan as the vehicle.   And there are other groups such as Raglan Shire through which members can communicate as a group should they so desire.

When we left SL we didn't just leave-- we made a statement:  treat your customers like trash and those customers will leave... along with the society they created.  If we'd left the group active in any way, it wouldn't have made that point.

Linden Lab doesn't care of course, but it "made the papers".   SL hasn't grown a bit since the time we left... and other large groups have left as well (either to other VR venues or shut down completely and returned to RL).

So we didn't stop communications; we just stopped the group as an entity on SL... which is the whole point.   Once in a while we'll leave a post there just to remind members Elf Clan still exists and is active elsewhere, but beyond that, for all intents and purposes Elf Clan on SL is nothing more than a name in a list of groups, still listed there to point people to what we consider to be a far better value for their money.

Yew say we dinnae support Elf Clan? Oh ,we do.It Inwordz we isnae dat much into.

Elf Clan we love.We even has Elf Clan banners up in are Citadel.

We do support Elf Clan.

All Oona askin is dat da members dat spends more time in SL dan Inworldz also get notified when dere is events in Elf Clan.

Coz when Oona does decide to log on to Inworldz,Elf Clan lands is deserteds.Dere nobody dere.

Oona meets Eren trice when loggin on dere. Once we chatteds a lil and ,2nd time him showed Oona around a museum,3rd time was an achul event where Eren singed and played guitar.

Once Oona meets Zauber.

Once Oona meets One,da nellyfunt.

Of all da odder times,Oona logged in,Elf Clan lands been deserteds. So,Oona dinnae bother to log in when dere nobody around.

Which is why Oona askin: Can we please get a notification when dere is an event?

We do support Elf Clan.If we dinnae support Elf Clan,we wouldnae ask fer notifications,Eldar Wayfinder.

We has accounts on Inworldz too.We just choose to log in to SL mostly coz dat a place where dere many online all da time.

Hmmmm.  If you're registered with Elf Clan on Inworldz, you should already be getting notices of events.   Might want to log in and look at your profile and make sure GROUP NOTICES is turned on.  : )
