Wot Food Really Is

We eats food on a daily basis. It nahmy. But sometimes, it help to appreciate wot we eating if we stops to consider all that has gone into it and what it really is. To help in doing dat, here is "Wot Food Really Is", according to ancient Dwagon knowledge:

HAMBURGER: Ground mucle tissue from dead cows. Which may sound icky... but at least it not from live cows.

EGGS: Unborn chicken babies.

WHERE EGGS COME FROM: Chickens pops 'em outta dere butt. Serious. Looks it… Continue

WHAT THE MARKET WILL BEAR-- FUTURE PREDICTIONS

The VR market is arriving. The days of Linden Lab's strangle-hold monopoly on VR software are coming to a close, and new companies are emerging.

So what can we expect from the future of Virtual Reality?

THE BIGGEST MISTAKES RIGHT NOW

The tendency for OpenSim VR companies right now is to take the OpenSim coders at their word that they can run four sims to a core. Running multi-sims on a core (imo at this point in time) is a mistake. Obviously Second Life,… Continue

DELIVER A BETTER PRODUCT

THE PROBLEMS

Second Life is curently facing a plethora of bugs the likes of which are unheard of in its history. Without going into extreme detail, these bugs include:

* Failure of textures to load within any concept of reasonable time

* Failure of sculpties to rez

* Faiure of avatars to rez

* Inventory loss / database loss

* Client-side cache issues that are creating a delay-of-service attack on LL's own servers

* Prims that suddenly… Continue

My Theory On The 25 Groups Limit

I had been chatting with another user earlier today, and offered him an invite to the 4Freedom group. He declined the offer, because he was at his limit on groups. After being told that, I started thinking "Why did they choose that limit?" Then, a pair of theories dawned on me. Either by flawed testing or a flawed chat system (or both) they felt that their servers could not handle the lag from users having more than 25 groups.

We all know that the system is flawed, because it… Continue

CHILD AVATARS TO BE ALLOWED IN ADULT AREAS ???

Prelude note to readers: An article appeared in an online "newspaper" stating that SL is to be banned in Australia for being an X-rated game. I questioned the validity of that article from the start. Regardless, the fact is that Australian law (apparently) does ban any online game with a rating over M15... and of course SL definitely is way past M15. So whether SL gets banned or not lies yet to be seen. But the main issue is the fact they're even being considered for ban-- and the… Continue

WHAT IS LINDEN LAB THINKING?

* Prim Limitations

* Adult Continent

* Loss of Customers

PRIM LIMITATIONS

Linden Lab has recently announced a decision to limit compound objects to 1000 prims. Compound objects are made of several unlinked objects (not prims, multiple objects), that are selected together and stored as one inventory item.

After some six years of allowing people to store any size of compound objects they desire... Linden Lab has suddenly deemed it essential… Continue

The Totally Freaky Truth About Matter

THE TOTALLY FREAKY TRUTH ABOUT MATTER

Read dis. You not be sorry. Freaked out maybe...

* All matter is composed of atoms

* Atoms consist of three parts: proton, neutron, electron

* The "nucleus" consists of protons and neutrons.

* Electrons form the "shell" and orbit the nucleus.

* The nucleus is incredibly, incredibly small compared to the size of the atom overall. How small?

Place a marble inside a large spherical room 200 miles across.… Continue

Arena Night in Port Luskan....where it's always night, hehe.

The sim I've been roleplaying on has lately had a drop in attendance. We've been trying to get people more involved by holding weekly discussions and training sessions. This is open to anyone that wants to attend IC or OOC.

This mornings's session was supposed to be about the Shaman class, my class, but the only people who showed up were me, my RL hubby, and Grandmother Yarrow, the speaker for today.

We've postponed it for 5pm SLT and I invite anyone who would like to come see a… Continue
